The idea behind this piece was to have a somewhat clumsy text to speech robot read the poem phonetically, but with the spaces and dynamics of a poet to see if the A,I could emote. Then add in the poet themselves (a human,) and have the two duet wringing all emotion they can from the piece. The music directly came from the words.

What is
the color of sadness
Abandonment and loss?
Uncapitalized letters that want
To be capitalized.
Is the color black or green,
mourning in plain colors?
Without reasons or tears –
being sad to be sad,
while the world chomps gum
putting its feet up on the desk
In front of you and your feelings.
Stillness and silence
a rainbow of colours
is what I need —
in a place I can sort out
all the sounds and colours
a ray and a wave at a time
to distinguish it all
see the points and tones,
understand them all so I
can move on in love and life.
