Ironically Yours (free) 05:32
LYRICS: Seasons change with answers That the stars must bring.. Born under a bad sign where did that cliché begin? So we search for answers in the distant map And hell you told me to change now I can’t change back - But time flows like an arrow always along the straight and narrow Sometimes winding sometimes turning but never giving in and burning out - Why should I feel so inclined? I should try to feel denied.. - Take advantage while you can The redshift marks the celestial plan God’s plant stars inside our minds send us to a higher plane I’m not promising you this I’m not promising you this I’m not promising you this But I shall promise you this.. - The closer we are the weaker the prescence that seems clearly now Deranged sociopath makes the world seem bland So we search for answers in the distant map They turn to questions and psalms ironically yours - So why should I feel so inclined to trust the stars to map the outline to my life? - Why should I feel so inclined? I should try to feel denied.. - Take advantage while you can The redshift marks the celestial plan God’s plant stars inside our minds send us to a higher plane I’m not promising you this I’m not promising you this I’m not promising you this But I shall promise you this.. -

LYRICS: Surely you can’t deny the reasons are essentially your own Why friendships come and then go the reasons are your own If you should feel like the walls are closing in your not alone Confined the smallest space equals a loto mistakes - Reality fades into the sky without a Sound that crashes down Upon the dreams we’re built around - Your outta your league at all odds with this world that’s apparently gone Manically mad pressure applied from all directions over night - If you should feel like your world is out of sync Your not alone Deceptions come and then go But the reasons are your own - Reality fades into the sky without a Sound that crashes down Upon the dreams we’re built around - Your outta your league at all odds with this world that’s apparently gone Manically mad pressure applied from all directions over night - Why does it hurt when the ones who you love turn on you? Yes we all change like sifting tides on time But when you put the knife in mine The blade is hard to believe but the point is harder to find The reasons are your own -

50's Son ---------- = Imagine if you could Two friendships polarised by trust Magnetism lift you up Places secrets within a thoughtless touch = Consult the whim of your impulsive nature That ensnares them all Dissertate the morals and rules And catch them every time you fall = Into the house with dribbley wax walls Nectar isn't far away Geckos traverse pine floors Everything is beautiful and strange = And I annotate and pre translate what is new And distance irritates as senses are retuned Textures alive with vivid spirals Veiled plates fall into place around you = Yet I get a sense that something is missing here

LYRICS: I’ve found this waypoint a way to shade the sunlight from my eyes Triangular waypoints home Sensations are in season once again - Whats happening? Where is this place? Where am I? - Search in cold for reasons unbeknown the sunlight penetrates the canopy of trees above Rapid eye and flickers once or twice upon frequencies omitting every vowel - We’re orient-eering We’re orient-eering - I’ve found the savepoint Linear vapour trails cascade digital skies Binary jungle on a vivid urban sprawl Progress forward push start once more - Silence takes a hold deep breathes and hold on tight She’s turning through the motions found an exit sign Adjusted wide brown eyes focus once then twice And then fell upon fortunes familiar smile - She’s orient-eering She’s orient-eering

Malicious Metallics I would love to lose control with an obscure surgical tool When the penny drops heh sure it will I shall fulfil The obligations of a unique day Don't feel alienated as friends chip away At what little patience still remains A one man war But when so and so says such and sucha such lies is it screaming lord Sutch such such a surprise to scream Aloha Aloha ooo Hani's hacked off now Fickle fin paper thin wallpaper personality Is this what you thought of me Or is it just inversed reverse psychology? Irrational fear of those serrated edges You know, that cut a life short via malicious metallics Arbo A.S.B.O suspicions unfounded Tightly wound round red tape italics The undercurrents of truth sweep in beside Obtuse disputes upon the river side Judging others on a whim Stabbing her cutting him best to avoid Aloha -- x marks the spot Synapse short cut I'm in blind panic at your door Need some hefty thoughts to chew upon Aloha -- age is not an accurate Measurement for maturity Just an obligation we all have to deal with One door closes another life begins But when so and so says sucha sucha such lies is it screaming lord sutch such such a surprise or is it sucha sucha such ah such sutch such a surprise Screaming lord sutch such such a surprise Aloha Aloha ooo Hani's hacked off now Fickle fin paper thin wallpaper personality Is this what you thought of me Or is it just inversed reverse psychology?

Schiphol Paranoia (free) 03:55
Lyrics: Back to square one again To the clearing that we've made With these bare hands Feel blessed in the evening Or rest upon the stony ground - With free out look means Cometh several spirited leaps - Old but ebbing light Illuminates the cold surroundings Initiate the waking dream - I'm a restless soul I'm a restless soul I've learned all I've taught or so I'm sincerely told.. - Upon the passages of time Hazard a navigated guess From the horizontal leap To the vertical abyss - Old but ebbing light Illuminates harsh cold horizons Initiate the waking dream.. - I'm a restless soul I'm a restless soul I've learned all I've taught or so I'm sincerely told.. -

A BRIEF HISTORY Of "ACID FRIED PSYCH POP":
-
Meteor Street began life as a four piece in January 2005 to play a tsunami relief gig. Comprising of Craigus Barry on lead vocals and guitar, Sam Jones on guitar and synth, Kryss Hall on bass and Ed Steelefox on drums, the lineup was completed in June 2006 with John-Joe Murray on violin and mandolin in due course Johnj also started to play synth.
-
The band played experimental, psychedelic influenced rock, and after establishing a local following in their home town of Worcester, they self released one EP and recorded a live EP through the CutOutSound internet label with a view of taking the music further.
As they finally grew tighter the sound went slightly away from pop/indie and leaned more towards prog.
-
The band then played several well received gigs in Bristol & London {albeit just a hazy memory for the band} and climaxed with blagging a stage to themselves at The Pandemonium Circus festival in Brixton February 2008 supporting the likes of Banglassi, La La Cravatz, Ed Cox and Tragic Roundabout.
-
The very last gig the band played was in April 2008 Leceister with the incredible liverppol band Apatt, shortly afterwards the band slowly lost interest, moved onto other things and went their separate ways..
-
These days:
*Ed’s just become a father,
*Sambo is making {I think,} alt country folk music,
*Johnj is well everywhere playing with Narcoleptic Penguin, ROBINSON & using his own trouty appendages,
*Kryss is a tattoo artist in Oxford.
*myself? I waste time typing these sentences..
-
What you have here is the "best" and the "worse" of Meteor Street. In reality we had a lot of inspired ideas, energy and sometimes direction but we could all be equaly very very appauling.. Take for instance - I hate my vocals here, but accept them for what they were at the time.. It was in equal parts fun, frantic and fuckin annoying..
