It was recently found that the Waterbear (Tardigrade, aka mosspiglet) can survive in the inky vacuum of space itself. What, I asked myself, would the waterbear listen to? How does it perceive sound as we know it? Or does it? After a few searches I learned that no one had apparently scored the waterbear. So I set about doing just that. Frolicking as it may upon a fresh crest of starlight or a patch of moss. The term "Atop A White Crest Of Starlight" comes from Herman Melville's musings upon space being the next grand voyage of starry seas.
