Writing:
This was the third real song we wrote together as a band is an absurd 8 minutes long.. I woke up with the intro chord sequence in my head and for what seemed like months and months tried to teach Kryss the bass line to go with it.. One day while we were practicing in a chalet' Sam wrote the amazing middle bit so it all finally clicked and then we wrote the whole end bit in my room at Baskerville Halls..

Lyrics:
Ok I admit it, it's about weekend tripping in a student house and living with a sociopathic girl who turns other house mates against each other.. The name is taken from an old 90's comic strip in Judge Dredd Megazine.
-
Recording:
This recording is part of a college assignment at the time it dates from early, mid 2005 and it was a lot of work.. A friend of ours Foz recorded the band playing it live and I was left with a mess to mix and finish working on.. Very very flawed though I am proud of the dreamy middle bit with the backwards lap steel guitar and the drum EQ's at the end are pretty good!

lyrics

LYRICS:
Surely you can’t deny the reasons are essentially your own
Why friendships come and then go the reasons are your own
If you should feel like the walls are closing in your not alone
Confined the smallest space equals a loto mistakes
-
Reality fades into the sky without a
Sound that crashes down
Upon the dreams we’re built around
-
Your outta your league at all odds with this world that’s apparently gone
Manically mad pressure applied from all directions over night
-
If you should feel like your world is out of sync
Your not alone
Deceptions come and then go
But the reasons are your own
-
Reality fades into the sky without a
Sound that crashes down
Upon the dreams we’re built around
-
Your outta your league at all odds with this world that’s apparently gone
Manically mad pressure applied from all directions over night
-
Why does it hurt when the ones who you love turn on you?
Yes we all change like sifting tides on time
But when you put the knife in mine
The blade is hard to believe but the point is harder to find
The reasons are your own
